Meet The Designer
Hi, I’m Grace Hernandez. I’m an interior designer born and raised in Denver, Colorado, with a deep love for travel and cultural exploration. Having lived on both coasts of the U.S. and traveled to many countries, I find endless inspiration in the traditions, architecture, and art of different places.
Creativity runs deep in my family. My grandfather was an architect in Denver who collaborated with Eugene Sternberg on mid-century modern homes and municipal projects in Littleton. Even further back, his father was an Oscar-winning art director for film sets, so design has always been part of my heritage.
My design career began in a fun and unexpected way—remodeling vintage campers into modern glamping experiences. Around the same time, I helped friends stage their home to launch a short-term rental, which sparked my passion for interior design. That experience led me to complete The Interior Design Institute program, and soon after, I began designing and staging Airbnbs for clients across the U.S.
In early 2023, I launched Brighten Designs to bring soul into residential interiors. Since then, I’ve worked on everything from kitchen remodels to full-home refreshes. I’m especially drawn to mid-century modern and older homes—celebrating their character and timeless aesthetic while navigating the challenges of blending modern updates with original materials, styles, and craftsmanship.
